Childhood Memories

Yesterday, I had a memory. I love when I remember things from my childhood, because as I get older, I find my memories fading. It’s so sad.

Anyway, I used to receive an allowance for doing chores around the house. At this particular time, I was saving for a new Barbie doll. I just finished doing the dishes, and my mom somehow nudged me to pick up the dish cloth on the chair seat, and when I did, under it was the Barbie I was saving for. I had earned enough money to meet the cost of my Barbie.

I remember being so surprised and so happy. Memories like this are so special. I had a good childhood.
